Baroque II.
In today's world, we're living in a time that reminds us a lot of the Baroque period, a time known for big differences and clear social divides. Back then, nobles and landowners had power, but today, that role is filled by big companies and wealthy families.
Just like in the Baroque period, which was shaped by wars and plagues, today's world is also influenced by wars and pandemics. These similarities show us that history tends to repeat itself, raising important questions about power, responsibility, and our role in society.
The themes that have occupied me throughout this work stem from the resulting feelings of powerlessness, helplessness, exhaustion, hatred, violence, and deceit. These emotions are not just personal experiences but are reflective of broader social trends. They highlight the complex interplay between historical cycles and the impact they have on individual and collective psyche, challenging us to confront these recurring patterns and consider how we might address them in our own lives and communities.
Thanks for watching!
